Riding terrain

Printer-friendly version

Roemoe is the 10. largest island in Denmark with an area of 130 km2 - and the largest Wadden Sea island in Denmark. The island has occurred since the last ice age as a series of dunes that are blown into a sandbank with intervening low ground strokes. Pine forests, heathland, dunes, ponds and the widest sandy beach in Northern Europe makes Roemoe to a treasure for both horse and rider. A lot of people also uses the beach for training their trotting horse.
